More coronavirus patients discharged after recovery

Eight more coronavirus patients were discharged from hospital after their recovery in Shanghai on Saturday, the Shanghai Health Commission has reported.

All the patients aged between 18 and 57 were imported cases, respectively two Chinese, one Canadian, two French, two American and one German. The three men and five women were diagnosed with the infection between March 17 and 24 and had been treated at the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, a designated hospital to treat coronavirus patients.

Health authorities will carry out followup checks.

As of Friday, Shanghai has reported 190 imported cases.

So far, 29 patients have been discharged after recovery.
