Karting kids shine at GPKS

The 2018 Grand Prix Karting Scholarship Series held its fifth and final race at Shanghai SAIC International Circuit on Sunday.

The fifth and final round of the 2018 Grand Prix Karting Scholarship Series (GPKS) was held at Shanghai SAIC International Circuit’s Kart World yesterday. 

The tournament featured young drivers aged between seven and 15. Dong Zi’ao and Sun Xiaoyu won the Cadet Final 1 and Cadet Final 2 respectively, while Huang Xizheng and Lu Wenhu topped the Junior Final 1 and Junior Final 2. Dong also became the year-end champion of the Cadet group while the Junior group year-end title went to Ke Shuncheng.

The two will join Team CRG and compete in the 2018 IAME X30 World Final in the French city of Le Mans. GPKS have created a superb racing platform for China’s young kart drivers to flourish.
