Two traffic policemen highlighted traffic laws in a live video when they caught a man livestreaming on an expressway in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, in northwest China, on October 21, thepaper.cn reported.

A man was reported to be live broadcasting on a section of expressway connecting Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province and Horgos in Xinjiang.

Police found the man pushing a trolley on the expressway when they arrived on the scene.

According to their initial investigation, the man from Xianyang in Shaanxi Province, who claimed to be an eco-activist, was live broadcasting his hiking journey to Xinjiang on the popular short video app Kuaishou. He has already trekked for almost two months.

Luo Fajiang and Chen Yanfu, the two traffic policemen who were on duty that day, educated netizens watching the broadcast about traffic laws and safety rules before they told the man to get off the expressway.

According to the video, they also told the man that he could not pursue his dream by breaking the law in the process.
