Frustrated father throws toddler into trunk

A man was recorded by a netizen throwing a toddler into his car boot on a street in Beijing, Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday.

The netizen came across the situation at the crossroads of the city’s Daxing District while waiting at a traffic light and then posted the video on Weibo.

Police contacted the netizen and located the man in the video as soon as possible out of fear the baby may have been the victim of a kidnapping.

The man, surnamed Zhu, said the two-and-a-half-year-old toddler was his son and explained that he acted out of rage as the boy was continuously screaming and arguing. 

Officers criticized Zhu, who soon admitted that his actions might cause both physical and mental harm to his son. He was let off without being officially charged.
