Fuel-cell vehicles go through their paces at CIIE

Visitors can get close up to fuel-cell vehicles at the Auto Innovation Technology and Autonomous Driving Experience Zone at the CIIE.

The experience zone, covering about 16,200 square meters, has 6 fuel-cell vehicles. Fuel cells generate electricity to power a motor using oxygen and hydrogen.

Toyota has two fuel-cell passenger cars on display, a fuel-cell truck and a fuel-cell bus. Visitors can learn about fuel-cell vehicles from Toyota staff on site.

The fuel-cell truck has attracted a lot of attention. It is used for the transportation of refrigerated goods with a driving range of approximately 200 kilometers. The hydrogen tank can be refilled in about ten minutes. 

In addition to the fuel-cell vehicles, the experience zone also has autonomous driving, high-performance cars and vehicles integrated with 5G.
