High-tech stocks propel ChiNext to over 3%

Shares on the the Nasdaq-style ChiNext enterprise board jumped over three percent on Monday as market sentiment was buoyed by the strong performance of software makers, satellite navigation and industry connectivity companies.

The ChiNext gained 3.16 percent to close at 1,780.61 points on Monday.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose by 1.19 percent to close at 10,564.38 points while the Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.8 percentage points to 3,133.72 points.

Shares of BDStar Navigation, the first listed satellite navigation company in China, surged by the daily 10 percent cap to close at 28.94 yuan (US$4.61).

Archermind Technology, headquartered in Nanjing, also jumped by the daily 10 percent cap to end at 37.51 yuan. The high-tech company develops mobile software, solutions for mobile Internet and manufactures electronic products.
