“The Sound of the World” Ruihong Tiandi Performing Arts Week will be held from October 1 to 7 at Shanghai Ruihong Tiandi Hall of the Moon.

The “Sound of the World” event is a live performance gala with musical-themed interactive features, singing, still-life performance art, with lighting and sound equipment, and a contemporary circus act. Combining music, culture and performance art, the event aims to give the audience and participants an unprecedented fantasy interaction experience.

Covering a space of 80,000 square meters, visitors will see still-life statues performing masters, enjoy a live performance and interact with the “Umbrella” lighting performance project, which participated in 2018 London Lumiere Light Festival.

The highlight is “Cirque Bijou,” a unique circus performance that was founded by circus artist Julian Bressi and Billy Alvin in 1999. At that time, the British contemporary circus was a fledgling art form, but Bressi and Alvin decided to set up a company dedicated to making modern circus performances in an easy-to-understand and creative form, which also represented the forward-looking spirit of the times.

In the past 18 years, Cirque Bijou has been a sustainable non-profit organization and one of the most creative dynamics of the British circus. It has a strong production team and global collaboration network supported by a unique combination of project funding from the Arts Council, local authority committees and various commercial projects.
