Outstanding local TV and radio anchors honored
Outstanding local TV and radio anchors were honored yesterday at Shanghai TV Station.
Based on audiences’ online votes and experts’ comprehensive evaluations, 20 hosts and hostesses received the title of “Celebrated and Excellent Anchors.” Five young anchors were honored as “New Talent.”
Well-known TV host Ye Huixian, 71, received the Special Contribution Award.
The anchors also showcased their expertise including singing and talk show segments at yesterday’s awards ceremony, which will air on Dragon TV on the New Year’s Day.
Winning anchors will also be involved in the city’s charity programs such as shooting public-interest ads and caring for autistic children, as well as offering free guide service to visitors at the Site of the First National Congress of Communist Party of China.
