Special screenings of Zhang Yimou's classic movies

All these movies have won acclaims from critics and audience. Some have received awards at international film festivals and become classics of Chinese cinema.

Chinese acclaimed director Zhang Yimou’s first personal film retrospective exhibition in Shanghai will be held at New Hengshan Cinema from October 6 to 15.

A total of seven critically acclaimed movies of director Zhang will be screened, including “Red Sorghum,” “Ju Dou,” “The Story of Qiu Ju,” “Hero,” “Shanghai Triad,” “Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles” and “Coming Home.”

All these movies have won acclaims from critics and audience. Some have received awards at international film festivals and become classics of Chinese cinema.

The exhibition will also screen restored version of some time-honored movies to present good visuals to audience.

The exhibition is organized by Chunfan Art Film Center.
