“Seven Days,” a thriller about Chinese people’s overseas adventures, will air on Dragon TV from Friday.

Based on “Decode Game,” a suspense novel by Chinese-American writer Sun Kangqing, the drama centers on seven days of endeavors of a group of Chinese people who try to survive in tough conditions at the US-Mexican border.

Starring Li Chen and Wang Qianyuan, the drama blends adventure, crime, suspense and love. It also incorporates distinctive Chinese elements to tell a story of redemption.

Li said filming took five months, with scenes shot in the desert particularly challenging.
