Zizzi, a British-born Italian restaurant brand, is bringing its authentic taste of the Mediterranean to the Shanghai food scene this month.

A British favorite for 20 years, Zizzi now has more than 150 restaurants in the UK and Ireland. It’s known for authentic Italian food with a Zizzi twist.

Intending to repeat this recipe in Shanghai, Zizzi fuses its classic flavors with a creative menu and interior design.

Located in HKRI Taikoo Hui, the first branch of Zizzi in China brings the brand’s signature dishes to the city such as its Rustica pizza, hanging skewers called “sumptuous Spiedini” and pizzettas served with fennel and cucumber salad.

Apart from the restaurant’s authentic ingredients, special elements are added to the decor as well. Inside the bright space there is a tree installation featuring leaves that change colors with the season. A locally commissioned mural created by artist Lausson Liu highlights the dining experience.

“We are thrilled to launch our first Zizzi restaurant in Shanghai. We hope this vibrant, dynamic city will welcome our creative twists on classic Italian dishes,” said Steve Holmes, CEO of Azzurri Group, parent company of Zizzi. “We look forward to serving up a new, uniquely Italian dining experience in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, creating good times for all.”

Address: HKRI Taikoo Hui, 789 Nanjing Rd W.
