Black boxes to monitor and record the operating status of trains will feature in new trains to run on Metro Line 12.

Line 12 welcomed 15 new six-carriage trains on November 27.
Compared to the old ones, the new trains are equipped with 38 inch dynamic maps and black boxes that record the operating status of the trains. The data saved in the black box will help with evaluation and investigation in the unlikely event of an accident occurring, the city’s metro operator said.
Meanwhile, the new trains have two destination displays installed in the carriage. 4G wireless transmission is also covered in all trains.
The new trains will be put into service after a series of testing.
