Graduates of Shanghai University-MOD'ART International Institute of Fashion and Arts showed their designs at the Shanghai Fashion Center on Wednesday.

The designs, with the theme of “New Wave,” include many popular elements used by luxury fashion brands in their 2019 series, such as rubber gloves by Calvin Klein and wide and colorful hats by Lanvin.

The institute was jointly founded by Shanghai University and MOD’ART International in Paris in 2003.

About 90 percent of its graduates work in the fashion industry, 68 percent of whom work for world-known fashion brands such as Prada, Adidas, LV, Armani, Dunhill, and Ralph Lauren. 

About 25 percent of its graduates start up their own businesses.
