First book on community gardening released in Shanghai

Two forerunners of community gardening in Shanghai released a book on their best practices from the cause on Thursday.

The book imparts knowledge of planning, design, maintenance and community building in community gardening, citing local examples.

This is the first book in Shanghai which systematically deals with the theme.

The authors are Liu Yuelai and Wei Min, who run Clover Nature School, a non-governmental organization which offers nature education, sustainable environmental design and community building.

The authors encourage readers to share their community gardening stories with them at siyecaotang2014@163.com.
