The Gongqing Forest Park in Yangpu District hosts a chrysanthemum exhibition.

City parks are hosting a variety of activities ranging from chrysanthemum shows to tangerine picking this autumn. 

At the Binjiang Forest Park in Pudong New Area, which is home to more than 2,000 tangerine trees, a tangerine picking festival will run till November 15. 

The park uses organic fertilizers, which together with abundant sunshine, ensures sweet and juicy fruit.

Park admission is 20 yuan, with an additional 20 yuan to pick and eat tangerines and take 2.5 kilos of  fruit home. 

At the Shanghai Zoo in Changning District, a butterfly exhibition will be held till November 11. 

Around 80,000 captive bred butterflies of about 30 species are released during the event. There is also a photographic exhibition and talks.

More than 200,000 chrysanthemums, made up of 800 varieties, are on show at the Gongqing Forest Park in Yangpu District as part of the Shanghai Chrysanthemum Exhibition. Traditional chrysanthemums and rare exotic species from overseas are on display.

The exhibition will run till November 25.

The Chenshan Botanical Garden in Songjiang District will host fun plant games between November 4 and 6. 

There are six task areas, and visitors are able to win gifts. 

The Yichuan Park in Putuo District is also hosting a chrysanthemum exhibition till November 25, while a bonsai exhibition takes place at the Shanghai Botanical Garden till November 30.
