Five universities in the Yangtze River Delta have reached an agreement to speed up educational cooperation.

Fudan and Shanghai Jiao Tong in Shanghai, Nanjing University in Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang University in Zhejiang Province and the University of Science and Technology of China in Anhui Province are all in the C9 League, an association of China’s nine top universities.

They will set up a center to explore a new teaching cooperation scheme that focuses on student development. It is expected to provide high-quality educational resources and promote teachers’ teaching capability.

The universities will set up cross-school minor majors, share courses and teaching practice facilities, build up entrepreneurial practice bases, organize mutual assessments of class teaching and set up an annual award for excellent teaching.
