A karting experience center opened at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the Pudong New Area on Sunday, as the landmark tourist attraction develops into a cultural, entertainment and tourist complex.
The center covers 1,400 square meters, while the track design gives consideration to both fun and challenges.
Unlike traditional fuel karts, these karts are electric, eco-friendly and easy to operate.
Chinese author, car racer and film director Han Han attended the opening ceremony.
The tower is trying to attract urban residents and youngsters. It has opened a rollerskating court, a virtual reality experience, light shows, interactive projects, a 360-degree cinema and an indoor VR rollercoaster.
