Artists, actors and student orchestra members were joined by robots, developed by enterprises in Changning District, as they staged a flash mob of the classic song "My Country and I" at Zhongshan Park in the district recently.

Performers included modern dancer Huang Doudou, musical theater actor Zheng Yunlong, badminton world champion Wang Yihan, Wang Zhenghua, a representative for local private entrepreneurs, and Su Yi, director of the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center.

A flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place and perform for a brief time. It was first created in 2003 in Manhattan, New York City.
