Shanghai ambulance drivers head to Wuhan

Eight drivers from Shanghai Medical Emergency Center will join a Red Cross rescue team to transport coronavirus patients in the Hubei Province capital.

A team of eight ambulance drivers from Shanghai Medical Emergency Center left Shanghai for Wuhan on Monday night to support the Red Cross there.

They will transport patients with the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Wuhan, center of the current epidemic.

They took the train to Wuhan and will join the rescue team of the Red Cross Society of China, local Red Cross officials said.
