With three different colors representing separate health conditions, the Health QR Code is aimed at allowing smoother management of epidemic prevention and control.

An official Health QR Code was launched on Monday to strengthen the health management of people amid the coronavirus epidemic.

After residents' health information is verified, three different colors of the QR code will be enabled — green (or black-and-white) for healthy people, red for confirmed or suspected cases, and yellow for those from key infection areas and who are under quarantine.

Administrators at offices, residential areas and other public places can scan the codes online to check the health condition of people entering or leaving the areas.

The QR code is available on the Healthcare Cloud and Suishenban apps or their accounts on WeChat and Alipay, where more services, including temperature tracking and self-diagnosis, are provided.
