3 new COVID-19 cases reported in Shanghai

Three imported novel coronavirus cases were reported in the city on Sunday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Monday morning.

The newly diagnosed cases are one American and two Indians.

The patients have been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while all the 47 close contacts on the same plane with them have been tracked down and put under quarantine and observation.

So far, of all the 360 imported cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery and 26 are still hospitalized.

No imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Sunday.

Of all the 341 local cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
