Prosecutors approve arrest of website founder

Prosecutors in Minhang District have approved the arrest of Wen Bote, founder of video-sharing website Dilidili, and three employees over alleged copyright infringement.

Between 2015 and 2019, the four are said to have shared over 200 Japanese anime, such as “The Ryuo's Work is Never Done!” and “Chaos;Child,” on their website without permission and earning revenue from advertising.

People can watch and download videos for free on Dilidili.

Further investigations are underway.
