A night market festival kicks off in Hongqiao Town of Minhang District.

A night market festival has been launched in Minghang District’s Hongqiao Town to boost the economy and enrich the night life of local residents.

Residents are now able to enjoy food and performances from China and abroad, buy jewelry and other items and take part in a number of activities at the Seoul Night Market on Hongquan Road, the Qingshan Night Market at Ala Town on Qingshan Road and other night markets in shopping malls such as The Mixc, Lohas and Aegean Place. 

Discounts and gifts will be available during the festival that will run until Sunday. Livestream events will also be organized to promote night markets in the town.

The festival is part of Hongqiao’s efforts to boost the night-time economy to enrich night life for local residents and promote consumption after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The district aims to develop the night markets near Wuzhong Road into a popular brand in the town to attract consumers from around the city.

Another round of promotional activities will be organized from next Monday.
