Senior Chinese official Yang Jiechi met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in New York on Tuesday to exchange views on China-US relations.
The two sides decided to have this meeting after consultations. Yang is a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee.
