Locals win design accolades at World Design Cities Conference

Seven industrial designs, eight brands and one individual from Songjiang District have won the Shanghai Design 100+ and Fashion 100+ Awards at the 2022 World Design Cities Conference (WDCC) that was held in Shanghai from September 15 to 18.
The Shanghai Design 100+ Awards honor achievements in the design field that help with industrial innovation, urban space construction, urban public service upgrade, city brand building and life improvement.
Industrial designs from Songjiang, including a CNF Simulator FTD C91 from Shanghai CnTech Co and KER die-casting industrial robots from Shanghai Zhenjie Automation Equipment Manufacturing Co, stood out from more than 2,100 designs, industrial cases and events through online voting and appraisal of 100 experts.
The Fashion 100+ Awards appraise hotels, individuals, garments and cuisines, among others, in the fashion category.
Zaixiangfu Guangfulin Prime Hotel and InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland in the suburban district were listed as "Fashion Hotels."
Chai Fangjun, chief of Shanghai Skytex Incorporated Co, was honored as a "Fashion Individual." Skytex specializes in the design, research, development and production of jacquard fabric.
Garments from Songjiang brands Broadcast and Londee as well as Ninety Go luggage were on the "Fashion Garment" list of winners. Snacks from LYFEN won a "Fashion Cuisine" award.
Songjiang has been actively promoting design innovation in recent years.
