A special New Year with Russian State Ballet

After the huge popularity of their performance earlier this year, the Russian State Ballet will come back to Shanghai with Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker” again.

The classic shows will be presented at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center from January 3 to 7 to celebrate the New Year, and open the company’s new season.

“Swan Lake,” the tale of Princess Odette, has enchanted generations of audiences around the world with its story, music and choreography.

In this performance, the evil black swan will perform 32 fouette turns in one move. It is a showcase of classical techniques and stamina.
