Well-known Taiwan theater director Li Tsung-hsi will present his latest offering "Across the Sea to See You" at PG Theater from May 24 to 27.

The drama revolves around a couple in love who, after decades of separation on the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, have a touching reunion.

According to director Li, who also wrote the script, the drama is inspired by the story of his grandmother, who reunited with her sister in Beijing in the late 1980s when cross-Strait relations became warmer.

Li calls for wider and deeper cultural exchange on both sides of the Strait. He has created many acclaimed dramatic productions including "Rouge Box" and "Stay Up Late On New Year's Eve." Some of his works have been adapted into movies.

Following the performances in Shanghai, "Across the Sea to See You" will tour around China.
