A new TV series about the lives of young Chinese cops starts airing on Dragon TV on July 2.
“Youth Police Journal” centers around the work and dreams of a few post-1990s cops in China. It stars young actors Gu Jing, Tang Yixiu and Wang Zicheng.
According to director Ruan Weixin, the series hopes to change people’s stereotypes of police and portray their energy, brotherhood and youth.
A lot of chasing and action scenes are featured in the series. Most of the actors received professional training to help accurately depict the often tough work of police.
