Mainland actress Qin Lan has recently received praise for her portrayal of the gentle and elegant Empress Fucha in the epic series “Story of Yanxi Palace.” But in the ongoing celebrity reality dance show “Shake It Up,” she has met unprecedented challenges.
In the new episode, to be broadcast on Dragon TV on August 12, Qin will present a wild jungle dance on stage. It is quite different from her usual image on screen.
Qin rose to fame through the costume drama “Princess of Pearl 3” in 2002. But the huge popularity of “Story of Yanxi Palace” recently has propelled the 37-year-old actress back into the spotlight.
Without any dancing experience, her performances were among the competition’s worst when the show began. The actress admitted that she has made a lot of effort to change that.
In the coming episode, audiences will see her hidden endeavors backstage.
