Award-winning Chinese movies will be screened at overseas film festivals, according to an alliance that supports the Belt and Road film tour exhibition.

The movies include the 4K restored version of Xie Jin’s classic movie “Hibiscus Town,” animation “She,” and drama “Kill the Shadow.”

During the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival held in June, 31 film festivals and organizations from 29 countries around the world signed an agreement to set up the Belt and Road Film Festival Alliance.

The alliance will largely help to promote excellent movies, filmmakers and production companies to varied film festivals and film markets.

In the following months, the organizer of the Shanghai International Film Festival will recommend more outstanding domestic productions to film festivals in India, Greece, Egypt and Estonia to provide foreign audiences with an insight into Chinese culture, history and modern society.
