October's West Lake documentary festival will screen productions on the "Something-Somewhere" theme.

The 3rd West Lake International Documentary Festival will be held from October 18 to 20 in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, officials announced on the sidelines of the Shanghai TV Festival on Wednesday.

The latest documentary films and series on the theme of “Something-Somewhere” will be screened. 

Organizers said the festival will honor thought-provoking and heart-warming productions, as well as creative documentary professionals from home and abroad.

Outstanding pitches by documentary makers will also get the chance to be developed.

The festival will host academic workshops for young documentary-makers and celebrated directors and producers will be invited to share their expertise and experience. 

There will also be international forums to exchange the new production and marketing trends.
