“The Galloped Era,” an epic drama paying tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, will premiere on Dragon TV on Thursday night.
Starring Tong Dawei and Jiang Xin, the drama focuses on the country’s early generation of electric locomotive engineers, who spared nothing in their quest to design and produce China's own high-speed electric trains.
The show's actors spent time talking with locomotive engineers and learning about their profession. Jiang herself even studied how to drive a train.
The heart-warming story about dreams, youth and love is meant to inspire young viewers today.
