 LightScraper

Two impressive light installations are attracting crowds in Nanjing Road W.

Aquastell, created by French artists Arnaud Giroud and David Lesort, is located in the northern plaza of the newly opened HKRI Taikoo Hui shopping mall.

The installation features a 10- meter high arch. By walking through it, people are dazzled by changing light effects in a romantic ambiance.

The installation will remain through December 3.

Another installation, the LightScraper, is in the southern plaza until January 17.

Created by Australia-based multimedia design studio Eness, it is a towering vortex of visuals and sound, featuring real-time 3D graphics and a motion tracking  system.

The LightScraper acts as a giant musical instrument, transposing the movements of visitors into musical notes.

Both installations can be viewed free of charge.
