Qingpu Hospital celebrates 70th anniversary
Qingpu Hospital, initially set up for the prevention and control of schistosome, a parasitic flatworm, in Shanghai has recently celebrated its 70th anniversary.
The hospital, which is now a branch of Zhongshan Hospital, also grew from a district-level hospital to a city-level hospital, the highest standard in a three-tire health system, in 2012.
As the only city-level hospital in Qingpu District, the hospital set up six medical centers as its key specialities, including a stroke center, chest pain center, trauma center, women's and children's care center, kidney dialysis center and a minimally invasive endoscopy center, to boost its medical development and benefit local residents and those from neighboring cities.
