Photo exhibition features Kangqiao's change

An exhibition featuring photos of Kangqiao Town in Pudong New Area opened on Tuesday at the Pudong Exhibition Center.
The exhibition of 150 photos documents the changes in Kangqiao over the past 40 years, from Hengmian Old Street to smart manufacturing workshops.
Wu Min, who has lived in Kangqiao for more than 20 years, took a picture of Kangqiao at dusk in October from his drone.
“I’ve seen great changes over the past 20 years. Farmland has turned into rows of high-rises,” he said. “I took the picture when the sunset glow tinted the sky golden. It seems like a kind of metaphor for Kangqiao rising.”
The exhibition showcases the people of Kangqiao. Some photos were taken in the same place, but over 40 years apart. Toddlers have become grandparents, and shacks have turned into modern apartments.
