Nine horses have taken a midnight trot along a suburban Shanghai street. Fortunately no people or animals were injured.
The incident took place at 3am on Monday on Caolang Highway in Jinshan District.
Police from Langxia Police Station spotted the horses from their surveillance room and went to the highway, taking care not to startle them.
They contacted the owner of a nearby stable who confirmed the horses were his.
The man, Lu, and his staff quickly arrived.
Police said the horses seemed pleased to see them.
Lu said a stable door had most properly not been locked.
