A charity run with about 1,000 participants was held at Shanghai's Haichang Ocean Park in the Pudong New Area over the weekend to call for more care of children with autism.
Covering 2.5 kilometers, the run passed seven venues involving marine science.
The park will open free of charge for children with autism and their families through April, and classes about autism will be held at the park during the month to raise awareness.
More than 40 children with autism and their families toured the park over the weekend in preparation for April 2, World Autism Awareness Day.
