People wearing traditional Han Chinese dress make fans at Shanghai Happy Valley.

A hanfu (traditional Han Chinese dress) celebration kicked off at Shanghai Happy Valley in Songjiang District on Friday, coinciding with the start of China's Qingming Festival holiday.

The event features hanfu shows, performances and handicraft-making, and will run through the three-day Qingming holiday.

About 200 students from hanfu clubs at nine universities donned  traditional costumes while visiting the park. Tourists are also invited to experience traditional Chinese makeup demonstrations.

What's more, visitors can make tuanshan (circular fans) decorated with dried flowers and leaves.
