Thirty-two groups were recognized in the Pudong New Area over the weekend for good social governance. 

The management committee of the Juyuan New Area in Jiading District received an award for playing an active role in trialing and promoting a fixed time and place dumping system for domestic garbage.

It also organized 14 go-between property companies to form a "green association," which promoted garbage sorting and became a model in the city. 

The Xuhui District work office and Tianlin Subdistrict office received an award for using artificial intelligence to improve public security. 

It developed a number of smart security systems including an access control sensor, intelligent recognition and fire warning. These have significantly curbed the incidences of burglary and other crimes.

The Minhang District People's Procuratorate received an award for establishing China's first mechanism for the restriction of employment of sex abusers in industries related to children.

The Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation was also on the list for its crackdown on unlicensed food operations. 

The cases were selected from more than 110. 

The event was hosted by the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong and Party School of Shanghai Committee of the Communist Party of China.
