Half-price fun during tourist fest
Tourist attractions and museums across Shanghai will offer half-price admission between September 15 and 21 during Shanghai Tourism Festival.
On the list are the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, the 88th-floor observatory at Shanghai Jin Mao Tower, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Shanghai Tower, the Shanghai Administration of Culture and Tourism said.
Parks like Century Park, the Zoo and Chenshan Botanical Garden and water towns like Fengjing and Zhujiajiao will also offer discounts. Amusement parks are included too.
Most museums and the former residences of Sun Yat-sen, Lu Xun, and Soong Ching Ling are on the list as well.
Half-price tickets will be available for cruises on the Huangpu River from 11am to 5pm during the seven days.
The Shanghai Disney Resort will offer discounted tickets after 3pm between September 15 and 21, subject to availability.
The festival will open on September 14 with a grand parade on Huaihai Rd M.
City walks to the Hengfu (Hengshan and Fuxing roads) Historical Conservation Zone and Yuyuan Road Historical and Cultural Conservation Zone will be organized, and a cruise tourism festival will be held in Baoshan District.
The city’s largest tourism event will end on October 6.
