Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang met Raymond Kwok Ping-luen, chairman and managing director of Sun Hung Kai Properties, in Shanghai yesterday.

Over the years, Sun Hung Kai Properties has made positive contributions to the development of Shanghai’s economy and society and set up a batch of high-end projects in the city, Li said during the meeting.

As Shanghai is accelerating the construction of “five centers,” the city hopes to expand and deepen cooperation with Hong Kong’s business and industry circles, including Sun Hung Kai Properties, in the face of historical opportunities, he added.

“We will provide an excellent business environment and better service for investors. And we firmly believe that Hong Kong will have an even brighter future with the strong support of the central government, the active endeavors of the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the unity of its patriotic people,” Li stated.

Sun Hung Kai Properties will expand investment in Shanghai and deepen all-round cooperation in order to achieve greater development, Kwok said.

City leaders Weng Zuliang and Zhuge Yujie also attended the meeting.
