Road closures announced for import expo

Some downtown streets will be closed to traffic on November 4 and 5 for the second China International Import Expo, Shanghai police said on Friday.

Most affected streets are in the vicinity of the Bund.

From 5pm to 9pm on November 4, all vehicles will be banned on Nansuzhou Road, and Dianchi Road between Sichuan Road M. and Zhongshan Road E1, Sichuan Road M. between Nansuzhou Road and Jiujiang Road, Yuanmingyuan Road between Nansuzhou Road and Dianchi Road, as well as the Bund tunnel.

From 5:30pm to 7:15pm, and from 7:45pm to 9pm, on the same day, Zhongshan Road E1 between Yan’an Road E. to Waibaidu Bridge and the Jiangxi Road off-ramp to Yan’an Elevated Road will be closed, while the Jiangxi Road off-ramp to the Bund Tunnel on the elevated road will ban all motor vehicles from 5pm to 9pm.

On Yan’an Elevated Road, from 5:30pm to 7:15pm on November 4, the section from the Hongxu Road on-ramp and the Jiangxi Road off-ramp will be closed, as well as lanes in the opposite direction from 7:45pm to 9pm.

On November 5, the section of Yan’an Elevated Road from the Jiangxi Road on-ramp to the Outer Ring Road, the section of the G50 expressway from the Outer Ring Road to Jiamin Elevated Road and the section of Jiamin Elevated Road from G50 to Jianhong Elevated Road will be closed from 7:30am to 10am.

On the same day, the area bound by Zhuguang Road, Yinggang Road E., Laigang Road and Songze Avenue will be closed to traffic from 7:30am to 10:15am; as well as Huaxiang Road between Shenlan Road and Suhong Road from 7:45am to 10:15am.
