TCM boost for Jiaxing neighborhood

The Jiaxing Neighborhood Health Center in Hongkou District is boosting its TCM capabilities by becoming an affiliate of the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The center will also become a base for Shanghai Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, which will set up specialist clinics and joint wards to promote TCM-based disease prevention and control.

It will also be part of Yueyang's health service system, which allows patients to transfer more quickly and conveniently inside the system and allows patients to receive high-end TCM service near their homes, said Dr Zhou Jia, Yueyang's president.
