Shanghai dialect short video competition honored excellent productions at the Changning Folk Culture Center on Saturday.
The competition received more than 300 entries with 11 making the final round.
The competition attracted all kinds of people: students, retirees, security guards and librarians.
From the perspectives of ordinary citizens, the videos show the rapid social development of the city and its influences on people’s lives.
To preserve and promote the dialect of the city, all the 300 entries will be uploaded onto a database for sharing and cultural exchange.
