Suzhou Art Museum opens branch in Shanghai
A branch of Suzhou Art Museum has been unveiled at Tianzifang Art Center on Taikang Road in Shanghai.
Suzhou, a 2,500-year-old city famous for its rich culture and exquisite handicrafts, has always been a regional center for the arts.
“The branch of Suzhou Art Museum in Shanghai will not only host high-quality exhibitions, but explore the combination of culture and tourism as well,” said Cao Jun, director at Suzhou Art Museum.
According to Cao, the museum branch will also develop a series of art derivatives including wood-cut New Year paintings.
The project is part of a larger initiative to integrate development of the Yangtze River Delta in the field of culture.
