The Global Brand (Shanghai) Industrial Cluster is established in Qingpu District.

Shanghai's first brand incubator base, the Global Brand (Shanghai) Industrial Cluster, was established in Qingpu District over the weekend.

Located in the West Hongqiao Business District, it has four centers — incubation, cooperation, display and events. It focuses particularly on the Yangtze River Delta region.

A brand service platform covering services such as trademark registration, patents, copyright and brand authorization was launched at the same time, providing one-stop solution on brands, the Shanghai Oriental Brand Culture Promotion Center said.

They add fuel to the city's "Four Brands" —services, manufacturing, shopping and culture construction and new breakthroughs should be made in the build-up of Shanghai brands, said Fang Huiping, vice chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee.

"We should make full play of the active role of brands in promoting competition, inspiring innovation and promoting development, and create a sound market environment for the development of brand economy," said Liu Fan, a standing committee member of CPPCC and former deputy director of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China. "We should also step up the construction of China's trademarks and brands and lift the global competitiveness of China brands."
