Doctors use TikTok to spread health knowledge

Shanghai's health authority is encouraging medical staff to use new social media to promote health awareness and disease prevention knowledge. It's even organized a competition to promote health knowledge on the app TikTok.

Over 300 medical professionals have posted short videos on TikTok. Their topics include internal medicine, surgery, infectious disease, sports medicine, healthy dieting and hospital machines.

These videos even use singing and dancing to promote health.

The final competition will be launched in March and a total of 20 winners will be selected. All videos are available at the TikTok account of Healthy Shanghai, said Shanghai Health Commission.
