Tour route highlights venues of China International Import Expo

A themed tour route guiding tourists around venues of the China International Import Expo was launched on Sunday, 150 days out from the third event.
The route links the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the venue of the expo, Greenland Global Community Trading Hub, Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, as well as major tourist attractions in Qingpu District and the Hongqiao transport hub. It enables tourists to not only experience the splendor of the event, but also purchase commodities from across the globe in the city, the Shanghai Administration of Culture and Tourism said.
During the trip, tourists can view Dongyang wood carving work, Suzhou embroidery screen work, tour venues of the expo and appreciate art works from participating countries.
The route will then take tourists to the DLG Import Commodities Center, allowing them to buy quality products displayed at the expo, and learn about the culture and stories behind expo commodities.
At the Greenland Global Community Trading Hub, some 50,000 varieties of import commodities from about 50 countries and regions are available.
Another stop is the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center where tourists are able to appreciate a vintage car exhibition and purchase imported products.
The tour is available for booking at outlets, WeChat account and website of Shanghai Jin Jiang International Travel and “Visit Shanghai” app, according to the administration.
It is operating every weekend from Sunday.
Outdoor stalls are popular.
