A series of skill competitions for workers aged 22 to 35 will be held in the city from now till December, Shanghai Youth League, the organizer, announced on Wednesday.

The competitions will encourage young workers to enhance their skills ahead of next year’s WorldSkills competition in Shanghai.

The Youth League has had held similar competitions before, but for the first time workers from other parts of the Yangtze River Delta region are invited to take part. They will compete with their Shanghai peers in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for construction development of the North Bund.

The young workers will also compete in programming, financial services, business English, hotline services, social investigations, police skills, health education and pharmacist skills.

Any worker in the 22-35 age group is welcome to take part by signing up after scanning the QR code shown here. Workers can also sign up in groups. The content is in Chinese only.
