A competition on knowledge of coronavirus prevention and general health awareness kicked off in Shanghai on Thursday.
Starting from August 15, online broadcasts of the competition will be hosted on Douyin (TikTok) each weekend.
Online winners will participate in semi-final and final competition rounds on local television, said the Shanghai Health Commission, one of the organizers.
The contest is meant to spread awareness of disease prevention and improve the public's understanding of health-care capabilities, officials said.
